0029: My Contribution to the Super Metroid Remake Discourse

In between Major Big Releases, fandom-centered subreddits seem to inevitably devolve a point where the discussion threads end up relitigating the same dozen or so points on near-weekly basis. On the metroid subreddit, one of these recurring subjects is "Super Metroid NEEDS a remake," which rankles my proverbial feathers every time I see it. Sure, why not have a large, talented team of proven professionals waste years of there life on a project that would ultimately only offer the sorts of marginal improvements that you can already get from rom hacks? Such a waste of the imagination.

Anyhow, I resisted the urge to post this on Reddit. Aren't you so proud of me?
